Dear Members,
Our pool opens on May 22nd at 3 pm! Here are a few friendly reminders to make the season go swimmingly and safely –
1. Our pool manager this season is Jesse Hull, aided by assistant manager Chris Root. Please be aware of the rules, which are posted prominently and in place for everyone’s safety. Also, please be mindful of the managers’ lifeguarding duties and understand that they cannot help you with any management issues while they are in the lifeguard chairs. They will be happy to help you upon completion of their lifeguarding shifts.
2. All members must sign-in at the front desk upon entry. Please remember to sign-in your family before going into the bath house.
3. Guest fees are $3 per guest on weekdays and $5 per guest on weekends. Please let the front desk know you have a guest/guests and be sure to sign for them at the front desk when you arrive.
4. Food — Cedarbrook has arranged for some great food trucks to come to the club at set times, which are on the Cedarbrook site — www.cedarbrookclub.org — under the “Club” tab, “Food Truck” section. You can see the dates and times and also link to their websites for menus and pricing. The food truck dates are also noted on the club calendar.
5. No food, beverage or alcohol is allowed on the pool deck or in the wading pool area. We have plenty of picnic tables in the grassy area.
We’re looking forward to a fun and safe summer! See you at the pool.
Get ready for the 2013 season. See you at the pool on Wednesday!
Dear Members:
As the weather warms up we are all eager to use the tennis courts and the facility much more often.
We have had some phone calls recently from our Management Company in reference to use of the facility during the off-season and some unacceptable behavior of children without a key or unaccompanied by an adult on the club grounds.
Now seems like a good time for friendly reminders so we can keep our children safe and our grounds in good condition as well.
The Pool Season starts On May 22, 2013 and goes until September 8, 2013. Your membership dues pay for the season and time that the pool is Open, not for access to the grounds during the off-season.
If you would like access to the Cedarbrook grounds during the off-season, which is any time other than the previous dates mentioned above, then you have the option of paying for a back gate key which is listed as a tennis key on your membership application. The key is $90.00 for the first year (a $50.00 deposit and $40.00 for yearly rental) and $40.00 each year after that. Once a member, who is in good standing with the Club, returns the key, he or she will get back the $50.00 deposit.
Please do not loan your back gate key to other people. If you do, and the people using your key violate the rules or damage the property, you can be held responsible or lose your key.
We have had several instances of the gate being left unlocked. Please remember, if you unlocked it then you should lock it. If people show up while you are there, do not assume they have a key and will lock up because they probably do not. You can clearly state that you opened the gate and are leaving and locking the gate. That statement usually clears people out fairly quick.
The pool management company will be at Cedarbrook a lot over the next several weeks preparing the pool for opening day. If the management company asks people on the club grounds to produce their key and they cannot then the management company will ask them to leave. Once again, you must possess a back gate key to be on the grounds during the off-season.
Please remind your children that bikes, scooters, skateboards, anything with wheels are not allowed on the tennis courts or the basketball court at any time. Misuse of the facility grounds in any way cannot be tolerated.
Finally, when an adult authority asks a child to leave the grounds, especially a child who is unaccompanied by an adult and does not have a key, rude and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and is subject to loss of key rights.
We are looking forward to a safe and pleasant Summer Season.

You may see some new faces working at Cedarbrook. Most of our managers have gone back or are preparing to head back to college and our other lifeguards will also be busy with school & school activities. If you get a chance, thank your managers and lifeguards for providing a safe and fun summer!
Community Pools will be staffing us with appropriate managers & lifeguards to fill in the gaps for the remainder of the season. With that being said, all rules will still be in effect and all members & their children are expected to abide by the rules. Managers and lifeguards may ask any members, behaving inappropriately, to leave at their discretion. Multiple warnings to children for misbehavior or breaking of rules may result in time out of the pool or being asked to leave for the day. If your child continues to misbehave he/she will only be allowed in the pool with adult supervision at all times. The lifeguards need to focus on the entire pool for safety not just a few.
ANYONE WANTING TO ORGANIZE A CLUB-WIDE LABOR DAY ACTIVITY PLEASE CONTACT OUR SOCIAL CHAIRS, TRACI WHITTIER AND MISSY FOXMAN at cedarbrookclub@gmail.com.
Hope you have all enjoyed your summer and good luck with the upcoming school year!
