301-896-0512- membership voicemail Membership Information Cedarbrook welcomes new members to enjoy a neighborhood gathering place for the summer months (Memorial Day- Labor Day). Geographic Area Membership is limited to homeowners residing within the following geographical areas:
Parkwood, West Kensington, Chevy Chase View, Martin’s Addition to Chevy Chase View, Byeford, Rock Creek Highlands, Locust Hill, North Locust Hill, the areas of Kensington bounded by Cleveland Street, Knowles, Connecticut and Summit Avenues, the portion of “Old Town” Kensington bounded by Connecticut and Howard Avenues, Kensington Parkway and Everett Street and those homes west of Kensington Parkway bounded by Everett Street, Saul Road and Connecticut Avenue.
Membership Waiting List/Info
Those seeking to join the Cedarbrook Club must be registered on the Club’s new membership waiting list. To do so, mail a $50.00 membership deposit (check payable to Cedarbrook Club, Inc ) to: Cedarbrook Club, Inc. P.O. Box 111, Kensington, MD 20895. - Home address and phone number should appear on the check.
- Upon receipt of the $50.00 deposit and a determination of membership eligibility (i.e., homeowner residing in the specified geographical area), confirmation of placement on the waiting list will be provided by letter.
- The $50.00 deposit will be applied to the initiation fee of $1000.00 upon acceptance of a membership offer.
- The $50.00 deposit will not be refunded if a membership offer is declined.
- Payment of the initiation fee and applicable annual membership dues and fees will be requested within 14 days of a membership invitation.
- The number of new membership openings per year is variable.
- In recent years, prospective members have waited one to three years to join the Cedarbrook Club.
- Membership invitations are issued annually from March to June.
Membership Dues: Current annual dues are based on the number of all persons residing in the member household as follows: - Single/One-Person Family ($275.00)
- Two-Person Family ($420.00)
- Three-or-More Person Family ($523.00)
